DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio – – Crumbl, the fast-growing cookie brand known for its weekly rotating menu and signature pink box, has been running a Pilot Program with NoTip Delivery, a Mason, Ohio-based food delivery company that uses built-for-purpose robots and electric vehicles to handle the last leg of every order. The Pilot has been making deliveries from the Crumbl location near Mason, Ohio, owned and operated by local franchisee Christian Bankhead.
Under the Pilot, Crumbl customers in the suburban Mason area have been able to order their favorite cookies for delivery through NoTip at a single flat $6 delivery fee — with no tip, no service fees and no markup on Crumbl’s menu prices. Cookies arrive at the same price customers would pay in store.
“Our customers love our Crumbl cookies, but I suspect they taste even better knowing they were delivered to their door so inexpensively,” said Christian Bankhead, co-owner of Crumbl Deerfield Township. “NoTip’s model is simple: the price on our menu is the price the customer pays, plus one flat fee of 6 dollars. When I saw it, I wanted our store to be one of the first.”
“This Pilot is giving us a real-world look at a delivery model built around automation as opposed to gig workers driving random vehicles. We are watching the results closely, and we are excited about what we are seeing.”
NoTip removes the cost of human last-mile labor from the delivery bill. Orders are carried on the final leg by NoTip’s delivery robot and electric vehicles, allowing the company to charge one predictable fee regardless of order size. For a brand like Crumbl, where larger family and party orders are common, a flat fee can mean meaningfully lower totals than percentage-based fees and tips that are associated with traditional food delivery companies.
“NoTip combines an EV with an integrated robot inside, so our doorstep deliveries are designed to be very low cost, fast and secure,” said Steve Burns, founder of NoTip. “We’re grateful to Christian for leading the way, and to Crumbl for participating in our pilot program.”
